Twitter has announced that they are developing a paid-for option for businesses using the popular micro-blogging platform.

Standard accounts for both business and personal use will still be free; however business will now have the option of investing in a second tier of functionality which will allow them access to statistics and feedback.

The business model for the latest venture is still to be agreed, however it is expected to launch next year.

Tag recently completed work on the development and build of a competition microsite to promote the launch of Old Pulteney 30 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The competition incorporates an interactive treasure map and hooks into the existing back-end system to provide seamless user integration and effective data capture.

Tracked using Google Analytics Goals and “Funnel Visualisation”, the client will easily be able to track the progress and popularity of the new microsite.

The newest “search engine” Wolfram Alpha was launched yesterday to mixed reviews.

Whilst the feedback has generally been good, many users complain that it fails on usability and accessibility.

Unlike classic “Search Engines” Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine that processes queries to return actual answers, rather than a list a web pages which may contain the correct results.
